Greg Marsden - Marine Surveyor, Inspector, and Accident Investigation Specialist

During his military career Greg qualified as a boat operator which led to a passion for powerboats, subsequently qualifying as an MCA Commercial skipper and RYA Instructor. Greg was a double trophy winner in the UIM 1600Nm 2008 Round Britain Powerboat Race, competed in the iconic UIM Offshore series and in 2009 with Pulsar Racing broke the World Record for the fastest circumnavigation of Ireland in a powerboat (which unfortunately has now been broken.)
Following retirement from the military and the commercial defence sector, Greg gained Diplomas in Ship Surveying and Marine Accident Investigation from UK’s National Maritime Training Centre, and achieved surveyor recognition with both Maritime New Zealand (MNZ) and the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA).

In 2021 Greg was appointed to the Board of AIMS and took over as Deputy Chair in 2025. In 2024 Greg won the AIMS Specialist Field Award for his work in Marine Accident Investigation. Luke Taylor - Crime Scene Expert, Criminal and Forensic Investigator.
Luke brings 14 years of frontline criminal investigation experience in the NSW Police force, before pursuing academia specialising in education and writing.
What sets Luke's work apart is the intersection of three distinct disciplines: forensic investigation, professional communication, and narrative writing. His years as a Detective taught him how to read a scene for what the evidence actually shows, not what it might be assumed to show. His training in writing and communication gives him the ability to document and reconstruct that scene with precision, clarity, and structure.
Together, these skills allow Luke to authentically recreate crime scenes in a way that supports unbiased interpretation, presenting the facts as they occurred, free from assumption or narrative influence, so that courts, juries, and other stakeholders can draw their own informed conclusions from the evidence itself.
This combination of frontline investigative experience, academic rigour, and clear, courtroom-tested communication gives clients an investigator's eye for detail paired with the precision needed for civil, criminal, and coronial proceedings alike.
Luke uses his specialist experience to recreate crime and accident scenes as a supplement to Subject Matter Expert Reports.
