“One day I was driving my BT-50 and it overheated. It was only bout 2 years old and I was gutted. I took it to my local mechanic who suspected a major issue, possibly head gasket. I took it to Brookvale my local Mazda dealership who told me nothing was wrong and that I needed to drive it more. From doing what they told me to do, it caused catastrophic engine failure. I took it back to claim warranty which they refused accusing me of submerging the vehicle- something that never had happened. I went through the Fair trading process which ended with both Brookvale Mazda and Mazda Australia not helping, denying warranty and wanting to charge me storage fees and diagnosis costs if I didn't tow it away because they had it there for the past 7 months. I towed it away and was left with no answers and help and a broken Ute.

Lost and frustrated I googled and was lucky enough to find Mechanical Forensic Services where I emailed Paul to see if they could help. With in an hour we spoke on the phone and he explained what he provides and I knew I needed his help. Paul was like a lifeline. I towed my Ute out to him and he dove right in, taking apart the engine, testing fluids taking photos of every component. His reporting was so detailed and clear and was able to not only prove that the vehicle had not been submerged at all but pinpoint the real problem which was an Incorrectly installed snorkel installed by Ryde Mazda, where I purchased the vehicle from which had sucked water into the airbox and into the engine. I thought that sending Paul's report to Brookvale Mazda, Ryde Mazda and to Mazda Australia would finally get things moving, but neither or them would take any responsibility.

Thats when I had to take it to court, and Paul stepped up in a way I'll never forget. He didn't just send his report, he turned up for mediation and then further attended the court hearing where he stood by me and faced a tough cross examination from the Mazda team. Paul's knowledge and expertise was instrumental, he answered every question with confidence and showed how Mazda's reports were flimsy and wrong, focused only on their made up story about me submerging the Ute. Because of Paul's rock-solid evidence and his calm, expert presence, the court ruled in my favor, Ryde Mazda was found at fault for incorrectly installing the snorkel which caused the issue from the start. They were ordered to cover my costs, provide me with a loan vehicle until they fix the Ute and were given six weeks.

 

Ryde Mazda dragged their feet and did nothing so after the six weeks, I had to take them back to court. Paul was there for me again with his original report which was the key to winning a second time and being able to get a full payout which I was hoping for from the first case. I can’t thank Paul and his team enough for all the hard work, expertise and genuine care which made all the difference. Without him, I would have been stuck with a broken Ute and no justice. Paul didn't just do a job for me, he had my back through out one of the most stressful times, and I will be forever grateful for that.

A major hail event went through our suburb in October 2024 and our house, shed and caravan sustained major hail/storm damage.

The house and shed were fixed by insurance. The caravan was assessed and a Forensic Report completed by the insurance company.

From our very first and anxious phone call to Paul Little from Mechanical Forensic Services to see whether he would inspect our hail damaged caravan as we were accused of manufacturing a percentage of hail damage by our insurance company. We were impressed by his professionalism and transparency.

Paul inspected the Forensic Report from the insurance company, together with our photos and noted that we had a good case to obtain an independent report to assist our claim and clearing our name.

In addition, Paul assisted us with amicable dates to inspect the caravan as we were 7 hours away.

Jason’s report was thorough and precise and completed in a timely manner. The report dismissed any fraudulent claim confirming all damage was caused by the hail event.

We sent the report to the insurance company, recovered our claim and expenses, and cleared our name of the fraudulent accusation.
